1/x=1/3+^2*3-2^2/3-2^2=3-2^2/(3)^2-(2^2)^2=3-2^2/9-8=3-2^2.                                                             

(^x-1/^x)^2=x-1/x+2=(3+2^2)+(3-2^2)+2=8.                                                                                                  

So,(^x-1/^x)^2=^8-2^2=2^2
