If the point (a, -a) lies inside the circ|e x2+y2-4x+2y-8 = 0 then the circle e should be less than zero.
Therefore, substituing the point to the circle, we get,
a^2 + a^2 - 4a – 2a – 8 less than zero
on solving we get
a belongs to (-1,4)
