or (1 – x)^3= 2^3
or [(1 – x)/2]^3= 1
or (1 – x)/2= 1^(1/3)= 1, w, w^2
or 1 – x= 2, 2w, 2w^2
or x= – 1, 1 – 2w, 1 – 2w^2.
