value of \alpha and \beta is -w and -w2
So value of \alpha2018 + \beta2018 = w2018 + w4036 = -1 + 1 = 0.

Above answers are conflicting each other, please explain how  w2018 + w4036 = -1 + 1 also  please mention all the steps in details

Dear student 
The equation x2+x+1=0   will have unreal roots
And as the coefficients and constant is having real values the roots will occur in conjugate pairs 
I think this is the principle used in the above answers
