given that a>0 and b>0 and a*b=24 so,
- possible values of a possible values of b result (2a+3b)
- 1 24 2+72=74
- 2 12 4+36=40
- 3 8 6+24=30
- 4 6 8+18=26
- 6 4 12+12=24
- 8 3 16+9=26
- 12 2 24+6=30
- 24 1 48+3=51
we see that the minimum value attained, as result, is 24, corresponding to which the value of b is 4.
so, when 2a + 3b is minimum, value of b is 4
