how to find the range of any function without using graphs?

First of all, calculate its domain for which function can be defined, the put extreme values in the funtion and get its range..except for theh value of domain for which function shows its infinite value.
Otherwise, differetiate, it and put equal to zero, whatever the value you get, put in the main function and get its range..
