Hello Dheeraj,

let us suppose t is the employees’ taxable income
then the state tax would be
10% of t = t/10
the remaining taxable income would be 9t/10
central tax = 20% of 9t/10 = 20/100 . 9t/10 = 18t/100 or 18% of t
Now, the annual bonus is equal to 5% of the taxable income after deducting the state and central taxes
which can be written as-
5% of (t – state tax – central tax)
= 5% of (t – t/10 – 18t/100)
= 5% of (t – 28t/100)
= 5% of 72t/100
= 5/100 . 72t/100
= 18t/5 . 1/100
= 18/5% of t
