for the line 3x+2y=12 and the circle x^2+y^2-4x-6y+3=0 then the line is a diameter.Explain??

Approved Tutor Answer9 Years agoIf line 3x+2y=12 is the eqn.of the diameter of the circle given the centre of the circle would must lie on the diameter equation. Therefore,the center of the circle is: => (2,3)
On satisfying this onto the line, 3*2 +2*3 => 6+6 =12
which hence satisfies the eqn.
Hence it is the eqn.of the diamter of the circle.
