Dear student

it can be written as y = sqrt ( – 3 + y)

y ^2 = – 3 + y

y^2 – y + 3 = 0

y = [1 ± 2 sqrt(2) i ]/ 2

Dear student
Let us assume the questin given be y
Squaring on both sides we get ,
y^2 = -3 + y
Now form the quaratic equation and solve for value of y .
y^2 – y + 3 = 0
y = [1 ± 2 sqrt(2) i ]/ 2
Hope this helps
Good luck
Cheers
