I understand your question actually there is a formula for sum of first n roots.Although its of very high level and was founded by ramanujan the formula is big i cant type but you can visit it just type on google formula for sum of first n roots and a pdf file named ramanujan will apoear it will also contain proof also.

S=2/3((n-2)root(n+1)-2root2+1
it was a really long calculation i got by putting n =root16 =44.469196600142...
