Given, a2 + 2x (a2 - x2)1/2
= a2 - x2 + x2 + 2x (a2 - x2)1/2 (Adding +x2, –x2 so that we get sqrt)
= ( (a2 - x2)1/2 + x )2
Hence sqrt = (a2 - x2)1/2 + x
