The vector P is (2,3,4) i.e. 2i + 3j + 4k
Similarly, we have for the vector Q, 4i + j - 4k
(Please note that the vectors have been denoted by bold letters)
Now, the coordinates of the vector of mid point of the vector joining the points P and Q are given by
[(2i + 3j + 4k) + (4i + j – 4k)] / 2
= [(2+4)i + (3+1)j + (4-4)k] / 2
= 3i + 2j + 0k
This is the required poistion vector of mid point of the vector joining the points P and Q.
