Find locus of the moving point so that the sum of the distance from (3,0) and (-3,0) is less than 9

Let the moving point be (x,y)
then
d_1 = \sqrt{(x-3)^2 + y^2}
d_2 = \sqrt{(x+3)^2 + y^2}
if the sum of distance is equal to 9 then its an ellipse with a = 4.5 and we can find b

So now the distance is to be less than 9 hence it is all the ellipse which are less than this and the line segment included
