A crew of an eight oar boat has to be chosen out of 11 men five of whom can row on stroke side only, four on the bow side only, and the remaining two on either side. How many different selections can be made?

we have to consider the two who can row both sides.

Case 1: Both do not get selected, then selections will be
5C4 x 4C4 = 5
Case 2: Both on row side
5C4 x 4C2 = 30
Case 3: Both on stroke side
5C2 x 4C4 = 10
Case 4: One on either side
2 x 5C3 x 4C3 = 80

Hence the total is 125
