Dear Vivek,

the req. eq=
(x^4-2x^2)[ (x^4-2x^2)^3 - 2 ] =0
Solving the first eq.....
hence x=0,+root2,-root2
Solving the second eq.....
x=more 4 values.
Hence total no. of distinct roots are 7(ANS)
