Yes MTG is a good book. Please make sure you read concepts of a particular chapter from a single book. You should understand the concepts clearly for Permutations and Combination to be able to solve problems in this topic.

Even Arihant Mathematics for Algebra is a good book for IIT JEE Permutations and combinations.

Once you have read and understood the concepts, you can also refer the follwoing website for all the results of P&C in one place, or you can make notes of your own as well.
