It is wrong to say that infinity is equal to two times infinity, Consider ∞ and 2*∞, if infinity is equal to two times infinity, then you get,∞=2*∞,∞/∞=2. This is obviously wrong. However, it is proper to say that the ratio of the LIMIT, two times infinity/to infinity is Consider the function f(x)=2x/x, limit f(x) as x→∞=2,not one, so two times infinity is not infinity.
