hi, u havn't specify the particular branch or context , u want ur answer. but i think omega(w) is mainly encountered in complex no.s generally the 1+W+W^2=0 IS USED where w(omega) is one of the root of eqn x^3-1=0 or cube root of unity. w = {-1+root(3)*i}/2 0r {-1-root(3)*i}/2 v can take any as omega one of the interestng property is that is one is square of second one. if one is w then other is w^2.
