it is quadratic in n so n = (1+√1201)/2 and n =  (1-√1201)/2

  and √1201=34.7 we can find out by underroot method

so n becomes 17.5 and -16.9

so we can write eqution 1 as 

(n-17.5)(n+16.9)<0 by solving inequations  

drawing the number line and marking the points  we get  

                   +                             -16.9           -         17.5    +

 the value of n    -16.9   <  n  <    17.5
