if we solve 1/(
2 + 1)
we get (2 – 1)/2 – 1
= 2 –1
and now if we solve (2 – 1)/1 = 2 –1
hence we get same common ratio.
thus these terms are in G.P.
first term = a = 2 +1
now nth term = an = a* rn-1
an = (2 +1) . (2 – 1)n –1
