Dear student,

The potential at a point due to a point charge at a distane if gtiven asV=\dfrac{kQ}{d}

Hence for the points with zero electric potential, the magnitude of potential due to both the charges must be equal in magnitude. Hence one point will be that between the two charges whose distance from -2q is double of that from +q.

Also there will be another point along the line joining the two charges and outside on the side of +q charge such that its distance from q is half of that from -2q.

Hence the answer is – 2 points.
