Hello Student,

A corn plant is monoecious, meaning that the male andfemale reproductive organsare contained in physically separate morphologies. Thetasselis the male flower and the ear shoots are thefemaleflowers, both originally initiating as single flowers containing both male andfemale reproductivestructures.

So it is malereproductive part.

Tassels are the male part of the flower. It is an error in ncert. if asked in neet pls mark the correct answer which is male part.
Corn plants produce pollen and eggs in separate flowers, but those flowers are on the same plant. The tassel is the "male" flower, which produces the pollen, and the ear is the "female" flower. The silks, which grow out of the ear, are the pistils, which catch the pollen grains. Each silk is attached to a single egg cell, which, if fertilized, will develop into a corn kernel.
