How microglial cells are different from astrocytes in origin?

1. Origin : Astrocytes are ectodermal in origin whereas neuroglial cells are mesodermal in origin
 
2. Number of process : Astrocytes cells have many processes whereas microglial cells have few processes
 
3. Function : Astrocytes form the blood brain barrier and is responsible for nutrient supply to neurons whereas microglial cells are scavengers and phagocyte forieng material.
