Lateral shift of ray of light by passing through a glass slab is x=t\dfrac{sin(i-r)}{cosr}

From snell’s law,

sini=\mu sinr

\implies sin r={\sqrt{2}}\mu
Therefore, we can obtain the value ofx.

(Please check the value of refractive index of glass, it cannot be lesser than 1)
