Lateral shift of ray of light by passing through a glass slab is $x=t\dfrac{sin(i-r)}{cosr}$

From snell’s law,

$sini=\mu sinr$

$\implies sin r={\sqrt{2}}\mu$
Therefore, we can obtain the value of $x$ .

(Please check the value of refractive index of glass, it cannot be lesser than 1)
