According to my knowledge, the above name is wrong according to the IUPAC rules.
4-oxomethyl pentanoate does not really exist.
 
If it is Methyl 4-oxo-pentanoate, then here is the structure:
 
CH3-O-CO-CH2-CH2-CO-CH3
 
Ester group is priorer than the Ketone group, so we use the prefix name for ketone (oxo) and suffix name for ester (oate).
