The easiest method without any formula is that you calculate the points where the line will cut the circle. You will get two points. Use distance formula between the two points. 3x= 4y+9 or x=(4y+9)/3 replace this x in equation of circle and solve for y. You will get two values. Calculate the respective values of x for the calculated y values. Use the distance formula. The values of y are -3 and 33/5. You will get 7 and 11.8 as x
