Did you check the cutoff list at both the places? if not then do that , because everything else can be decided after that only,...well i have some other choices to offer –

if u r general category than chances of nit are very less
and i dont think that  u will get govt college
u can try for jaypee noida , upes dehradun , these are some private good colleges

check the cut off list of the nits you mentioned
then go through it or i have some choices like
lpu (lovely professional university) phagwara
srm uni,chennai
