how can i calculate voltage across capacitor pls explain it how can i calculate voltage across capacitor pls explain it
The ac volatge would vary in first half positive and second half negative.Therfore,in first half negative that is in forward biasing of the diode it would be short circuit and hence the voltage across the Capacitir would be total = > 220v as it is in rms already. In negative half cylce the diode would behave as an open circuit therfore the voltage would be zero.Hence total voltage supply in one full oscillation is => 220 Volts.
