As fructose undergoes Lobry de Bruyn-Van Ekenstien rearrangement. It is concluded that fructose with Ketone group also could reduce fehling''s reagent, tollen''s reagent etc.
Lobry de Bruyn-Van Ekenstien rearrangement:-It is a reversible isomerism,to give a mixture of D-glucose,D- fructose and D-fructose.
