HS means Home State Quota. Basically, in every NIT 50% of seats are reserved for people of own state i.e 50% of seats are reserved for domicile of UP in MNNIT,Allahabad 4380 is AIR(OVERALL) and not State rank..

HS RANK is useful for state candidte only. It is all india rank of candidates of respective state.
