dear sir, i m ashok.my aieee air is 19000.my state wide rank is 3000.i am from andhra pradesh.i am from open category .my category rank is 15000.plz suggest some of nit's with the branches i can get for my rank.in the priority level i am unable to decide the choice of 20 nit s.plz give me the list of nits by ur own ranking .

Dear Ashok,

 Regarding the ranking of NITs it can be divided into 3 parts : -

  • Very good NITs :

1.Trichy
2.Warangal
3.Surathkal

Almost equal and the ranking slightly differ between the first two every year.

  • Good NITs : -

1.NIT Allahabad
2.DAIICT*
3.PEC
4.NIT Jaipur
5.Thapar
6.NIT Bhopal
7.NIT Calicut

  • Decent NITs : -

1.Nagpur
2.Kurukshetra
3.LNMIIT**
4.JIIT**
5.Raurkela
6.Surat
7.Jamshedpur
8.Durgapur

  • Average NITs : -  ( worth going if you dont get any of the decent NITs )

1.Hamirpur
2.Jalandhar

  • Worst NITs : - ( Not worth going to )

Patna, Raipur, Srinagar, Agartala, Silchar

And the ranking of the branches are like : -

  1. Comp. Science
  2. Electrical
  3. Mechanical
  4. Civil
  5. Chemical
  6. Information Technology
