AIEEE –The All India Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Architecture Entrance Exam

All India Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Architecture Entrance Exam (AIEEE) access students on their subject knowledge and scale them according to their eligibility level for admission into undergraduate engineering and architecture courses conducted by several institutes throughout India. AIEEE exams are conducted in both English and Hindi.

Annually, about 8 to 9 lakh students appear for the AIEEE exam and compete for 17,163 seats for BE or B.Tech courses and 759 seats for B.Arch or B.Planning courses in technical institutes, National Institutes of Technology, deemed universities, and other government-funded institutes.

Organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Department of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), AIEEE is conducted to overcome the problem of multiplicity of entrance examinations and regulate the professional admission standards of different institutions. Applicants for AIEEE receive an All India Ranking (AIR), in which they are ranked all over India; and a State Rank (SR), which indicates their position at the sate level.

 Benefits of the AIEEE Exam

AIEEE is an entrance exam conducted for educational institutions offering degree level courses in Architecture, Engineering, and Pharmacy but are not covered by Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or State Level Entrance Examination (SLEE). Students are admitted to both paid and unpaid seats in these courses, depending on their ranking in the merit list.
