When an objects falls freely its acceleration is constant because in a free fall the acceleration does not depends on the mass of body . the uniform acceleration is produced due to gravitational forceas long as air resistance can be ignored and theobjectstays near enough to theearth'ssurface so that the gravitational field is constant.
Acceleration due to gravity(g)=9.8m/s2
