Hello Student,
Given:
Radius of the water column is , r = 0.005 m
Height of the water column is, h = 0.1m
Mass of the water column is , M = Pi X r2X h X Density = 3.14 X (0.0052) X 0.1 X 1000 = 0.00785 kg
Work done = Raise in the Potential Energy = Mgh =0.00785 X 9.81 X 0.1 = 0.00770085 Joules.
