The other name for buoyant force is upthrust.
Buoyant force, also known as upthrust, is the force exerted by a fluid on an object that is submerged or floating in the fluid. This force acts in the upward direction, opposing the weight of the object, and is responsible for making objects float or sink in a fluid. The magnitude of the buoyant force is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid, according to Archimedes' Principle.
