1.Volatile(escaping nature of liquid to become vapour) substance has very low Boiling point and generally takes place at room temperature,Its a fast process and generally seen in liquid state....eg Petrol,nailpolish remover,lighter spirit etc.

2.Sublimating subtances are generally generally solid and it gets converted into vapour directly.It is fast on applying energy like heat but slow at room temperature. Eg..Napthalene ball used in wardrobe, odonil used in washrrom.
