Use the formula v2 = u2 + 2as here v is the final velocity 8 kmph and u is the initial velocity 6 kmph. S is the length of the train. as = 14. Again use the same formula where v is to be found. u is 6kmph and take distance to be s/2 because we need to know its velocity at the mid point. The answer is square root of 50.
