Areolar tissue is a connective tissue that takes part in the structural framework of the body. It consists of a meshwork of collagen, elastic fibers and reticular fibers with many connective tissue cells in between the meshwork of fibers. Fibroblasts, mast cells, and macrophages are the major cells of the areolar
