When we put it in the sugar solution the raisins will gain water because it's a hypotonic solution

in case of salt solution the raisins will lose water because it's a hypotonic solution

in both the cases the movement of water is due to osmosis

If we put dry raisins or apricots in plain water, they will gain water by endosmosis, as it is placed in a hypotonic solution.{Plain water is considered to be a hypotonic solution as concentration of salts and minerals are very less}
If we put those raisins or apricots in sugar or salt solution, they will lose water through exosmosis as they are placed in a hypertonic solution.

Dry apricots have more solutes than pure water. Hence, the endosmosis, i.e., water molecules will move from outside to the inside of the apricot through the wall of apricot. Due to this, apricots will swell eventually. When such apricots are transferred to the sugar solution, then the solution will be the hypertonic bearing high amount of solute. Hence, exosmosis, i.e., water will move from inside to the outside of apricot through the apricot wall.  Due to this, apricot will shrink.
