1.since 49MSD=50VSD
THEREFORE 1 MSD=50VSD/49
HERE 1cm IN MAIN SCALE IS DIVIDED INTO 20 DIVISIONS. THIS IMPLIES THAT 1 MSD = 0.5 mm.
2.LEAST COUNT IS GIVENT BY
FORMULA = (V1-V2)/V2 X MSD
WHERE V1 IS NO. OF VSD, V2 IS NO. OF MSD
MSD = 1 MSD
HERE 1cm IN MAIN SCALE IS DIVIDED INTO 20 DIVISIONS. THIS IMPLIES THAT 1 MSD = 0.5 mm.
THERE FORE ,
LEAST COUNT COMES OUT TO BE (50-49)/50 X 0.5  = 0.01 MM.
THEREFORE YOUR 2 ANSWERS ARE 1MSD = 0.5mm AND LEAST COUNT = 0.01 mm respectively.
