in the sound chapter of the module … it says that a mechanical wave requires a material medium for waves to travel through and the transverse wave’s example is light, which does not require a medium to travel. what does this.. im confused and not sure which one is right.

Mechanical waves are those which require a medium to travel- Example sound
Transverse waves do not require medium and Light is an example- it can travel through vaccum
