# Im a bit confuse with my topic “mode” here’s the sets of data: 17, 23, 46, 31, 17, 19, 26, 31, 42, 5, 21, 32, 36, 37, 37, 38, 41, 40, 19, 12, 7, 48, 29, 39, 42, 38, 41, 32, 36, 35Based on my research, other websites says it has no mode and other says its multimodal. One thing more I asked one of the math teacher in my school, she says it has no mode. What is your opinion with this ? Thanks

Hello friend, you mentioned that some websites states that the set of question is multimodal as there are many numbers repeating like 17&17, 37&37, 41&41 etc. But mode means the number which is repeated in a set of question the most. In this case, there are many numbers which are repeated. Hence according to schools the answer would be that the set of question do not have any mode.

see accordingly if we see over here there are certain numbers which are repeating for the same no. of times....so thts why it can also be called multimodal as per websites..... but acc to school ans we can say tht thereis no mode as there are many no. repating for the ssme no. of times.... if in ur school multimode is taught thn u can consider that or else as per school it has no mode
