Volume of the original cube = (12)s ema = 1728 ems. Volume of one small cube = 1728 cm3 = 216 ems. -- 8 Side of small cube = 216 cm = 6 cm. Surface area of the original cube Surface area of a small cube 6(12>2 4 = 6(6)2 = 1 Hence, the requiled ratio is 4 : 1.
