To compare the speeds, we need to convert one of them to the same unit.

Convert 30 km/h to m/s:

We know that 1 kilometer = 1000 meters and 1 hour = 3600 seconds.
So, to convert from km/h to m/s, use the formula: Speed in m/s = (Speed in km/h) × (1000 meters / 1 kilometer) / (3600 seconds / 1 hour)
Applying the conversion:

Speed in m/s = 30 km/h × (1000 / 3600) = 30 × 0.2778 = 8.33 m/s

Comparison:

The first speed is already in meters per second: 30 m/s.
The second speed, when converted, is 8.33 m/s.
Since 30 m/s is greater than 8.33 m/s, 30 m/s is the greater speed.
