Supplementary Angles:
Supplementary angles are two angles whose sum is 180 degrees. In other words, if you have one angle, the supplementary angle will be whatever amount is needed to make the total 180 degrees.

Example:
If you have an angle of 110 degrees, its supplementary angle would be:
180 - 110 = 70 degrees.

Complementary Angles:
Complementary angles are two angles whose sum is 90 degrees. Similar to supplementary angles, if you know one angle, the complementary angle will be whatever amount is needed to make the total 90 degrees.

Example:
If you have an angle of 30 degrees, its complementary angle would be:
90 - 30 = 60 degrees.

How to find the complement and supplement of an angle measure:

To find the complement of an angle, subtract the given angle from 90 degrees.
Formula: Complement = 90 - given angle.

To find the supplement of an angle, subtract the given angle from 180 degrees.
Formula: Supplement = 180 - given angle.

These operations only work for angles that are less than 90 degrees for complements and less than 180 degrees for supplements.
