Hi dear
See square of 2 means 2 x 2 which is equal to 4. Square root is just opposite to this. For e.g. Square root of 4 is 2 and that of 9 is 3

square of a number refers to the number multiplied by itself and square root refer to getting back to the original number as simple as that
