Let alpha = x....and beta = y...
Now given that...cosx + cosy =0 and sinx +siny =0
So....cosx=-cosy and sinx=-siny...
Now..  -cos(x+y)= -[cosx.cosy - sinx.siny]
             Now...on solving you will get
cos*2x - sin*2x= cos2x 
             Or
Cos*2y -sin*2y = cos2y......
