Then, the answer obtained will be in decimal form, so we can consider that digit before decimal point is rupee and digits after decimal is paise and together number in decimal form is known as rupees. Complete step-by-step answer: Here, in the question it is given 325 paise and we have to identify how many rupees and how many paise together can make this amount. So, here we will use paise rupee conversion i.e. 1 rupee = 100 paise or it can be written as 1 paisa =1100 rupee . Therefore, we have 325 paise so, we will use unitary method and will get: 1 paisa =1100 rupee 325 paise = ? ∴325100 rupees =3.25 rupees Thus, 3 is the digit before the decimal point, so it is the amount of rupees and digit after the decimal point is the amount of paise. So, we can fill in the blanks as 3 rupees 25 paise and Rs. 3.25 respectively. Note: This is a very simple question and so the chances are that the student uses mental calculation to fill in the blanks. Often this leads to silly mistakes and gives the wrong answers. So, it is recommended to solve it stepwise using proper conversion. To cross check whether the obtained answer is correct or not can use the answer to convert into paise and can see whether it matches with the question. Here, we have Rs.325, so we know 3 rupees and 25 paise. So, we will convert 3 rupees into paise by using formula 1 rupee = 100 paise, we get 3 rupees = 300 paise So, we have 300 paise + 25 paise = 325 paise.
