Arjun sold a watch at 10% profit if he had purchased it for 20% less and sold it for Rs.100 less he would have gained 25%. what is the the cost price of watch ?

Let CP be x
Initial SP 1.1x

If CP was 20% less i.e. CP=0.8x
SP= 1.1x -100

Acc to question
1.25 ( 0.8x) = 1.1x – 100
x = 1.1x -100
100 = .1x
x=1000
