total distance travelled by the train
= 1000km + (400/1000)km
=1000 + 0.4 km
= 1000.4km
Now total time 
=15.5hr + (30/60)hr
=15.5 + .5 hr
=16 hr
\therefore aveage speed of the train
=1000.4/16 
=62.525km/hr
